The School of Health Sciences is the youngest in SEKU, having been opened on 24th August 2015. The school was established with cognizance of the dire need of human resource base equipped with relevant skills and knowledge to provide solutions to the growing challenges in Kenya’s health care delivery system. The school aims to be a centre of excellence in training specialised health manpower necessary to drive the science, technology and innovation component of Kenya’s Vision 2030.
The School has two teaching departments, namely Public Health and Nursing, with 32 students already admitted for the Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health, while the first cohort of the Bachelor of Science degree student are set to be admitted in September this year. Besides, two masters’ degree courses in Population Health, and Infectious Disease Diagnosis have been developed and are ready to be rolled out. Read more.
